Decreasing waste, one utensil at a time

About this Talk

After coming back from Springboard, I am a lot more conscious about the potential environmental impacts my choices have. One thing in particular I noticed coming back is that the norm is for restaurants/food shops to put the plastic/single-use utensils in the bag.

I find this very interesting, especially during lunchtime, because many of the people who get food go back to their offices to eat. And many of these offices have more environmentally friendly utensil options, like metal ones or compostable ones.

Sometimes the utensils that are given with the food are not even used and just end up in the rubbish bin.
